Everyone craves great pizza from time to time. So when you’re in the mood for the best pizza you can find, Kilgore, TX is a good place to be. But deciding on which restaurant to visit can be a challenge. To help satisfy that craving as soon as possible, we’ve created a list of our favorites.
1. Mazzio’s Italian Eatery
Since 1979, Mazzio’s has been a favorite pizza joint. They’ve added to their menu along the way, which now include made-to-order pastas, calzones, subs, wings, salads and more. But the best part, in our opinion, is the endless pizza buffet and salad bar, which is available for lunch on weekdays and for dinner on Tuesday nights.
We also like their traditional and specialty pizzas in which you can choose your crust: thin and crispy, hand-tossed, stuffed, deep pan, or cauliflower. You can also choose from six sauces, as well. They even offer a kids’ menu. Be sure to visit their website for specials. You can find this restaurant at 1704 US-259 business. They are open seven days a week.
2. Venecia’s Italian Kitchen
Here at 210 E. Main St. you’ll find traditional New York-style pizza with home-baked crusts and a variety of toppings. They use only the freshest ingredients, and it’s clear that they take pride in their work. We recommend the margarita, the chicken alfredo, the supreme, or the vegetable pizza. They also have an ongoing special, which is two 16-inch one-topping pizzas for just $24.99. We’ve found the prices to be affordable and the service friendly.
If you want to host a birthday party for your child, they offer a party room. Just give them a call or stop by for more information. Venecia’s is open every day except for Mondays.
3. Pizza Boy
This hole-in-the-wall joint may not look like much, but it has continued to be a community favorite since 1998. Plus, these are often the places you’ll find the best food. Their specialty pizzas are the most popular and include pies like meat lovers, spinach alfredo, grilled barbecue chicken, bacon cheddar burger, Philly cheesesteak, and veggie pizza. Stop by on a Tuesday and get a large cheese pie for only $8.
